Raise awareness of the co-operative business model among mainstream Australian audiences and reposition co-operatives as a key driver of resilience, especially in agriculture.
WHAT WAS CREATED
A feature length documentary titled Fight Back Farmers, co-produced by Go Collaborate and Barking Mad Productions. The film follows Australian farmers who have embraced the cooperative model to transform their futures, showcasing resilience, community and innovation. It premiered nationally and secured a two year licence on ABC iview, significantly extending its reach and visibility.
WHAT WE DID
- Worked with the Business Council for Cooperatives and Mutuals to identify strong farmer stories that demonstrated the real world value of the cooperative model.
- Co-produced the documentary with Barking Mad Productions, supporting development, creative direction and on ground storytelling.
- Managed the distribution strategy including national broadcast and digital streaming through ABC iview to maximise audience engagement.
OUTCOME
Fight Back Farmers reached audiences across Australia and successfully brought the co operative message into the mainstream. The extended ABC iview licence delivered long term visibility and impact. The documentary remains a flagship communication asset for the Business Council for Co-operatives and Mutuals, continuing to educate and inspire Australians about the power of co-operatives.
